Directional Worker ALERT's primary purpose is to alert pedestrians
and other drivers that a forklift is coming. This device performs the same functions as
Worker ALERT but in one direction only. This wall-mounted device employs
two photo-sensors that send out a perfectly safe red light beam to detect a reflective
strip mounted on the forklift. The warning device (usually a strobe) is activated when
the forklift passes Directional Worker ALERT one way but not the other.
Multiple Applications
- Protect pedestrians at 'blind corners'
- Protect pedestrians and drivers at multi-way intersections
- Protect pedestrians at doors that open onto truck aisles
- Protect tunnel exits
- Open doors and operate other equipment
Easy Installation
- Mounts on wall, column, ceiling, etc.
- Mount warning device (e.g., strobe) at hazardous location
- Connnect AC adapter, Directional Worker ALERT, and strobe/horn (all low voltage)
- Place reflectors on forklifts using adhesive backing
Simple Setup
- Select timeout (2 to 32 seconds)
- Select direction (right-to-left or left-to-right)
- Select activation method (Make or Break)

Two photo-sensors allow Directional Worker ALERT to determine a vehicle's traveling direction.
Additional Features
- All wiring is low voltage. Does not require conduit
- Uses internal power to activate strobe or horn
- Key switch prevents tampering
- Warning may be visual (strobe light), audible (horn), or both
- Activate may be Make (reflector passing sensors), or Break (object breaking light beams)
- Dry-contact SPDT relay may be used to activate other devices (e.g., open doors, raises gates, etc.)
